About Us
Susan and David would like to invite you to stay at our recently refurbished Retlaw Saddlery Bed and Breakfast which is situated in the historic village of Milfield in rural Northumberland. The Saddlery was built by
a local builder in the early 19th century and is situated on the foot of the cheviot hills. The name RETLAW was devised from WALTER reversed, the name of the local builder.
The village is small but packed full of interests and is well situated to visit historic venues in the area, we have a local pub called The Red Lion which offers good pub food and lots of local traditions, we have a superb country café with good home cooking and a local tourist information centre which is situated within the café.
At our Bed and Breakfast we can offer evening meals on request, we supply a full English breakfast with local produce whenever possible, we have off road private parking for up to 4 cars, all our rooms have private bathroom facilities, we have a good hospitality tray with tea coffee hot chocolate etc. We also have free view TV and DVD players for you to use at your convenience, we have a visitors lounge with TV, Hi-Fi, books, magazines etc, where you can sit quietly and take in the fantastic views of the Cheviot hills.
For the first time this year we are able to offer stabling for two horses on the adjacent farm land stables this can be arranged on booking with the Farmer John.
